The little things

We often forget what a great gift life is. Life is beautiful and amazing and it should be appreciated. Sometimes we forget to appreciate the small things in life. Every day is a gift and what we do with it is up to us. It doesn’t take much. We can appreciate the little things. We can motivate and help people feel their best. Sometimes people can feel very sad and they can do things which they will regret forever. It is our job as friends, colleagues, and even as strangers to help them and make them feel good.  Tell them you are there for them. If you notice a friend is sad, ask them why and how you can help him. Ask them multiple times if they don’t tell you. Tell them that you are there for them and that you are there to help them. Be persistent. The last thing you want is to leave them alone and helpless.

There are times where you will feel sad. Everyone feels sad from time to time. It is important to remember the good times when you may be feeling down. There will always be people looking after you. I feel that the new generation is forgetting to appreciate the good in life. The small things in life matter. It could be anything like someone asking you how your day was or like someone asking you how you are feeling. I believe in enjoying the little things life throws at me.  It’s the moments that happen so quickly without any build up that they catch me off guard and makes me appreciate life. Those, are my favorite. It doesn’t matter how small they may seem but they give me a chance to acknowledge how wonderful life is.

There is a serious issue called depression. This should not be joked around with. Depression does not only mean being sad. Depression is a horrible disease that conquers the ability to feel emotion. It causes people to be very sad. Depression can cause people to do horrible things. Depression is a very big issue. There are ways to fix it such as medicines and treatments but the easiest treatment is to be supportive, encouraging, and kind. There is a way to stop depression and that way is love. We look at depression like an unsolvable issue, but there is a very simple cure. LOVE and SUPPORT. Those who are affected may look for bad ways to cope with depression. Stop them from doing crazy things. Using bad things such as alcohol and drugs isn’t the right way to cope with depression. There are many good ways to help cope with and stop depression.

If you are currently struggling with depression, just know that there are people who are there for you. You are never alone. You never will be alone. There are other people who have got through depression. It’s not impossible. Nothing is. There will always be people there for you. There are good people who care about you a lot and you may not even realize it. Tell someone who you trust. I care about you. The world cares about you. Life is a beautiful thing. You may feel sad, but there is so much good in the world. Talk to someone.

There are good people in this world who are here for you.
