True friends

2 min read

William Shakespeare once said that “A friend is one that knows you as you are, understands where you have been, accepts what you have become, and still, gently allows you to grow”.

  • A true friend is there for you when you need them the most and never leaves your side.
  • A true friend accepts you.
  • True friends are rare and when you find them you should never let them go.
  • True friends want to be your friend because they like you, not because they want to use you.
  • Without true friends, life will be empty and boring SO MAKE TRUE FRIENDS.

Every now and then you find people who just want to use you, and they do it is by becoming your friend. Fake friends are horrible. “Fake friends are like shadows: always near you at your brightest moments, but nowhere to be seen at your darkest hour”― Habeeb Akande. It is very important to understand the person who you are becoming friends with and to also understand if they just want to use you or be a true friend.

“Few real friends are better than a thousand fake ones.” Nowadays social media is taking over our lives. Instead of going outside and playing with our real friends we just chat with them online. What is true friendship anymore? Sure you can call your online buddies your friends, but you are only going to fool yourself. True friends are people who like hanging out with each other. True friendships can’t be built online.

There is a lot of good in the world. There are good people who will be great friends if you give them the respect which they deserve and also if you show your faith in them. Friendship goes a long way. Your friend will always be there for you and they will never leave your side. Friendship makes the world a better and friendlier place. “Treat others how you want to be treated.” But friendship will not be jolly all the time; there will be fights and arguments, but the ability to still be friends is what makes up a true friendship.  Above all, it goes back to a very simple rule that you should be true to your friends and they should be true to you.

Off topic but check this out it’s really cool.
